September General Meeting – Sunnyvale Housing Strategy

We have a full agenda including one hour with Jenny Carloni, Sunnyvale's Housing Officer on the recently released Housing Strategy Draft.  The Housing Strategy is a pivotal document for housing in Sunnyvale.  The Draft passed the Housing and Human Services Commission last week with a few modified recommendations.  It will be going to City Council on Oct 13 for final approval. Livable Sunnyvale supports the BPAC recommendations for the Active Transportation Plan

The Active Transportation Plan (ATP), which we've spent the last six months or so engaging with, goes to Council Tuesday, Aug 25. This month, both Livable Sunnyvale and the Democratic Club of Sunnyvale voted to support the BPAC's proposed modifications to the ATP. Livable Sunnyvale Statement in Support of Black Lives Matter

Black Lives Matter. George Floyd. Breonna Taylor. Tony McDade. Rayshard Brooks. Chinedu Okobi. We say their names with broken hearts. This is not a new or recent problem, and it is not one that can be solved through mild or superficial reforms. We need real change, real justice.Sunnyvale holds a special place in our hearts. And there is much that makes our city unique. But our city is not a…
